Get to Know our Interns: Spotlight on Ireland Interns at our Northern Trust Limerick office recently hosted a very successful networking event as part of the 2023 Spirit Week. The event focused on employee well-being and the array of options people have to get involved in activities and groups. Highlighting our strong culture, the week-long event provided all our people with the opportunity to network with various employee-led Business Resource Councils along with all our clubs and societies that we have available for employees to join. Organized and led by our interns, the three main events during Spirit Week were: ✅ A talk and webinar around ‘Managing stress and work life balance’. ✅ A blood donation drive and information stall with 68 employees signing up on the day ✅ A 'Networking in the hybrid environment' event A big thank you to our interns who showed great determination and innovation to get this week organized and delivered as they Learn then Lead.

We were delighted to recently host the first ever GREATER DAY event in our Manila office, where we welcomed 20 aspiring interns from the University of Santo Tomas. This event was attended by our Manila Executive Team who gave a warm welcome to the group and offered up inspiring messages of support and career advice. Ralph Estipona was a keynote speaker at the event, and he shared his journey over the last few years from being an intern himself to now being a full-time employee at Northern Trust. Ralph shared three key takeaways for the group of interns: ✅ People and Culture - you can be sure that you will always have someone to help you and guide you all throughout your internship at Northern Trust. ✅ A good training ground - here you will be treated as a professional and not a student. In this early stage of your career, you will be taught how the business operates, how our industry works and where you can fit into the wider business. ✅ Career Progression – you will see the potential career path and opportunities after graduation.
