Every year, PHMG staff turn out in force to complete our festive fun-run, and 2017 was no exception. From Boston to Dallas, Manchester to Chicago, staff in eight global locations donned their red suits in the name of the PHMG Foundation, and raised an incredible £8,016.40 in the process. This money will go straight to worthy charities including The Salvation Army, the American Cancer Society and the Christie Hospital Charity – and we want to thank every single employee who took part.
On Sunday September 24th , Chicago staff took part in the largest annual event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s took 18 of our team, their friends and family around the Chicago community, allowing them to raise over $1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association – and organization that’s particularly close to the hearts of many of our staff.
On Wednesday 23rd August, staff welcomed the Lord Mayor of Manchester to the PHMG Head Office. He received a cheque to the value of £32,508 for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund – an appeal set up to support the victims of the Manchester attack and their families. The Lord Mayor discussed the overwhelming response to the fund in the aftermath of the news – and thanked PHMG for the incredible contribution we made. Thank you again to all those that donated, our money will make a real difference to those affected.
On Saturday 12th August, staff from Client Services, Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Data climbed Scafell Pike – England’s highest mountain. The team faced tough weather conditions throughout the 978 metre ascent, but successfully reached the summit to fly the flag for the PHMG Foundation. All their efforts and your donations amounted to a huge fundraising total of £3,203 – which will go a long way to helping MacMillan Cancer Support and the CF Trust continue their vital work.
