Yesterday, our Employment Services Director, Kate Palmer FCIPD joined Sharon Amesu, Rebecca Gooch, and chair Claire-Marie Boggiano, for an insightful panel discussion around 'Women In Leadership'. Hosted by our partners the University of Salford, during their 'Employability Week', the discussion covered the panelists' own career journeys, their experiences of being a woman in leadership and their advice for the students as they enter the world of work. We're proud to work closely with the University of Salford to provide meaningful learning opportunities for students, helping inform their understanding and knowledge of the business world, and setting them up for life beyond university.
We would love to take a moment to celebrate all of our London Marathon runners on their amazing achievements! 🏅🏃 On what was a unseasonably hot day, not only did they show incredible amounts of physical and mental strength and endurance, but they also raised awareness and much-needed funds for two of our charity partners, Together for Short Lives and DEBRA UK. Congratulations team! 👏
The London Marathon is less than 2 weeks away and our team is training hard for their world record attempt 💪 Inside Sales Director Jamie Parker and friends James Pilkington, Charles Whitehead and Jessica Kordecki are running in support of DEBRA UK looking to set a Guinness World Record for the fastest 4-person costume dressed as a caterpillar, which currently stands at 4 hr 3 min 18 sec. They did their final dress rehearsal this last weekend and are pushing hard both to achieve their time and fundraising targets. Friday night saw our annual charity football tournament and, as always, the competition was fierce! With 16 teams battling it out to take home the trophy, and tons of fun off pitch for supporters, this event is a firm favourite in our calendar 💪 More then £1100 was raised for our charity partners, Air Ambulances UK, DEBRA UK, and Together for Short Lives 🎉
