In his latest post, Colin Eberhardt explores the results of the recent 'FINOS State of Open Source in Financial Services' survey, which show that security concerns are the main constraint on open source consumption by the sector. There's currently an impasse in addressing this, so Colin asks what the way forward might be.

Scott Logic has signed up to Tech Zero, making a commitment to measure and publish our emissions and set an ambitious net zero target. This is no small undertaking and we know that we need help. That’s why we’re going to work with Avieco, experts in helping and empowering organisations to become more sustainable. The importance of this collective action on the climate crisis cannot be overstated, and we’re pleased to be taking this proactive step.

While not the obvious route into her software career, Molly Pace's neuroscience degrees were instrumental in developing her passion for technology. She joined Scott Logic as a graduate in 2019 and built her skills in both back- and front-end development. She's now on a year's secondment in the Business Development team, giving her the opportunity to develop invaluable insight into the business as a whole. At Scott Logic, we're committed to the long-term growth and development of our people and we support them in pursuing their professional interests and specialisms. We're currently recruiting Graduate Software Developers and Graduate Test Engineers in our Newcastle HQ.
