This month was filled with excitement as we successfully integrated our US and UK systems and processes, another step forward in achieving our purpose to provide the best experience for our customers, partners and employees. The completion of this integration is a monumental step in our international growth and boosts our operational efficiency. One of the many benefits of this alignment is that we can now provide our UK customers with ExpressConnect, our automated support with monitoring, ticketing, integrations and account management. We're thrilled to offer an improved customer experience worldwide. Our IT Digital Software Team worked with numerous departments leading up to launch day. Team members came together in the US and UK to ensure smooth implementation and to celebrate this huge accomplishment. Thank you, team, for all your hard work enhancing our services and scalability!
Say hello to Rachel Jansheski, our Global Program Manager. Rachel joined Service Express in 2018 and was recently promoted to Global Program Manager. She became more involved with mergers and acquisitions in 2022 as she led our Integration Team. Over the past few years, she's been a part of 8 company integrations. In her new role, Rachel will continue to manage M&A activity and will also manage significant projects and programs with a company-wide impact, from customer engagement and service delivery to employee perspective and internal processes. She enjoys working in M&A and helping an existing company fit into Service Express. In addition to her professional contributions, Rachel has made a tremendous impact on our Women's Leadership Council, striving to elevate and empower Women at Service Express to reach their full potential. As a member of the Steering Committee, Rachel helped establish a mission and pillars, hosted events, created internal communication avenues and is currently working to launch a mentorship initiative. Our people receive 16 paid volunteer hours annually to support a cause or charity of their choice. We're continuously impressed by our people's impact in one year. In 2023, 323 employees participated and used over 4,200 volunteer hours. We're proud to say that this is over 200 more hours than our goal for the year and 600 more than in 2022. Our people used their hours to support over 85 organizations around the world, including Kids' Food Basket, The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity International, Meals on Wheels America, Humane Society of West Michigan, and more. We appreciate our people-powered team members and their commitment to giving back.
'Tis the season of giving! Our Service Express Cares Council hosted its annual global donation drive, empowering our teams to contribute goods, gifts, time or funds. Together, we supported over 70 organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Wish for Wheels, The Salvation Army, Feeding America, United Way and more. Over the last month, our people used around 300 paid volunteer hours and raised $11,720. With the Service Express Philanthropy Council's $5000 match, our total is $16,720. Thank you to our people-powered team for embodying the spirit of the holiday season and giving back to our communities all over the globe.

Say hello to our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Team! They assist our customers with end-to-end disposal of their unused, retired or outdated data center hardware. As technology continues to evolve, the increase in e-waste impacts our environment. When IT equipment enters landfills, it can harm the surrounding environment due to mercury, lead, lithium and other chemicals found in hardware. In addition to supporting our customers, this team works hard to safely reuse, recycle or dispose of IT equipment. This team is currently focused on assisting customers with large-scale hardware refreshes and end-of-lease projects. The small but mighty team of 3 operates globally, providing ITAD support to those in the US and UK. With expanding service offerings and new tools, this team continues to grow and impact Service Express, customers and the environment. Way to go, team; thank you for all you do!
Congratulations to Lisa Haberman for achieving her people-powered goal to become CliftonStrengths® Coach certified! The CliftonStrengths Coach certification was a goal of Lisa's 5 years. The 4-day course was a mixture of theory and skill practice, followed by coaching sessions and an exam. The certification will help Lisa better support our people and their talents. Before joining the team at Service Express, our people take the CliftonStrengths® assessment to identify their top 5 strengths. With the strengths identified, teams can optimize intuitive abilities and strategically direct responsibilities to the right person, boosting engagement and productivity. Lisa says, "When people realize that they are unique and were brought to Service Express for their unique strengths and realize how they live out those strengths every single day, there is a feeling of belonging, which often lights a fire." As our Learning Development Consultant, Lisa has led training sessions with numerous teams at Service Express. She's enjoyed the "Opportunity to see how people light up when they uncover things about themselves that they never truly realized before – embracing their uniqueness and what they bring to the table."
