Our Women's Leadership Council recently introduced our new employee resource group (ERG), Women@ServiceExpress. The group's mission is "to elevate and empower women at Service Express to reach their full potential through advocacy, education and community." Recently, Women@ServiceExpress hosted their first in-person events in Grand Rapids, MI and Bedford, UK! Thank you to our Women's Leadership Council for organizing the event and creating an opportunity for women at Service Express to unite, network, connect and collaborate. We're looking forward to more events in the future!
Say hello to our Sales Development Representative (SDR) Team located in Bedford! Comprised of New Business, Customer and Channel Sales, this team focuses on developing people and growing pipeline. They work closely with our Demand Marketing to improve strategy and utilize various tools to ensure success. At Service Express, we're committed to helping our SDRs sharpen their skills, develop professionally and thrive in a rewarding career. These SDRs are currently reading a professional development book together and participating in weekly sessions with teach-backs. Mitchell Allen, Sales Development Manager, says, "I love to see them constantly supporting and challenging each other to improve in every aspect of life, not just at work. Say hello to Mariah Manuel-Berry, our Organizational Development Consultant. Mariah is only a few months into her role at Service Express, but she's already made a tremendous impact. She was attracted to our growth-oriented #peoplepowered culture and knew her skills, experience and commitment to lifelong learning would be a great fit for the team. Mariah says, “Caring for others in an environment that cared for me made joining Service Express a natural choice.” Mariah partners with Leadership, HR and Learning & Development teams to align employee development with our business goals. She's dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment that makes our people feel valued, motivated and empowered to bring their best selves to work daily. In her first several weeks, Mariah jumped in to support our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Council. She's excited about the future of DEIB at Service Express and its contributions to our company's success and employee enrichment." As a result of the support I have received from council members and the work they have done, the work thus far has been some of the best of my career," says Mariah.
Throughout September, our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) Council raised awareness and provided resources for Suicide Prevention Month. Several team members from Grand Rapids, MI, attended the Out of Darkness Walk, raising over $2,400 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Samaritans. Our DEIB council will continue to ignite conversations, show support, share stories and help reduce the stigma.
Say hello to our IT Service Desk Team! This team of 7 sits on the frontlines, providing top-tier internal IT support for every member of our global organization. While most of this team is located in Grand Rapids, MI, they work closely with their European counterparts to provide the best experience for our employees globally. This team works tirelessly from big to small projects to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. They're currently working to improve our onboarding experience and re-working their process to deploy equipment faster. They joke that "there's a reason we ask people if they've tuned their equipment off and on again." Whether critical and complex problem-solving or quick IT solutions, these tech wizards save the day often. So far this year, our IT Service Desk Team has achieved over 30 vision goals (and counting). We appreciate your endless support and truly couldn't function without you!
