Today we’re celebrating National Coming Out Day here at TSB. We caught up with some of our LGBT Partners and wanted to share Jules’ story with you. “I started working at TSB eight months ago as a Local Banker in Cardiff. I've always known I was gay, but I spent many years in denial when I was younger because I feared being different. My experience of coming out to colleagues in TSB was amazing. Nobody made a big deal of it and that’s the way I hoped it would be. I’m massively lucky and grateful to work for such an LGBT friendly workplace. I’ve always been quite reserved in telling people that I was gay, but after such a supportive response in work I was keen to get involved with the LGBT Inclusion network at TSB. I want to make sure every LGBT customer and customer and colleague feels comfortable in coming out and being themselves, just like I feel I can be. With events like 'National Coming Out Day', I hope we can raise awareness of what still needs to done. But I also want to demonstrate how LGBT friendly TSB is, and they should be proud to be part of the LGBT community.”
Our COO, Helen Rose recently caught up with the BBC to talk about how TSB is helping bring women back into Finance. She did us proud on bringing our efforts on Gender Pay to life. You can listen to the interview here: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQYUc or have a read of our Gender Pay report here: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQYU0
We’re delighted and so proud that Helen Rose, our COO, has been recognised as one of the top 10 champions of women in business in the UK, by FT HEROes. Here at TSB we’ve focused on building a bank with a different, inclusive culture from day one and Helen, our executive sponsor for gender diversity, has lead our Gender Balance Matters campaign, pioneering a transparent approach to gender pay gap reporting. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQyoT
We're proud to be supporting the work of Midland Langar Seva Society. They selflessly feed the homeless every single day and today was the day we gave them something back.
Imagine logging into your bank account just by glancing at your phone. From September, our customers will be the first in Europe to benefit from secure and simple iris recognition – the next step in biometric banking. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ4gM
We’re tackling gender imbalance head-on. We’re urging companies to come clean and calling on them to build a more balanced workforce that lasts for the long term. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ4HQ
Our latest financial results show that we’re continuing to grow and challenge the stranglehold that the big five banks have had on the market for far too long. Thank you to all our customers for banking with us and to our Partners for their hard work. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ4YK
To the 134 TSB Partners. And the thousands that competed in this weekend's London Triathlon. Well done.
