Our theatre club were lucky to catch one of the final performances of The Great Gatsby Musical this week. They enjoyed a dazzling celebration of jazz, glamour and the roaring twenties 🎭
Our team had the incredible opportunity to take part in an interactive cooking class with the phenomenal chef Sabrina Gidda. We explored South Asian flavours and cooked up a feast featuring Masala Lamb Chops, Achari Trout, Punjabi Panzanella, and more. Huge thanks to Sabrina for sharing her expertise and energy, it was an unforgettable evening!
Our team had a fantastic time at the Standard Chartered Great City Race 5k, with brilliant energy on the course and even better celebrations after. We recently had an incredible time with the Gateway Project! It was amazing to host these talented students for their first taste of work experience. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn have been great to see. The students successfully presented their week-long projects to our very own Berkeley Dragons Den panel and also enjoyed a fun game of mini golf with the team - bringing together a perfect blend of work and play. We’re delighted to have been a part of this social mobility initiative for the second year in a row. A huge thank you to everyone who made this week possible!
Welcome to our newest team members - management consultants Haley McDonnell, Ross Balfour and Sandra Odukoya. Haley has joined the New York team whilst Sandra and Ross join our team in London. Haley is joining Berkeley after almost 8 years with EY where she worked in the dynamic business finance practice. She focused primarily on large-scale transformations for financial services clients, including technology implementations, strategy assessments, and operating model design. She has led global teams with both functional and technical skillsets to deliver complex programs. Ross joins the Berkeley Partnership after 7 years in PwC's Technology Consulting Practice, where he focused on large scale Finance Transformations. His experience includes managing a multitude of workstreams across global ERP programmes, ranging from Test Lead to Head of the PMO Function. Ross has worked across multiple sectors, including Construction & Insurance. Sandra joins Berkeley after three and a half years at North Highland Consulting, having previously spent five years at Accenture. She has primarily worked with clients in the Financial Services sector, focusing on complex operating model design, transformation, and technology-led initiatives. Sandra also brings strong leadership experience in People Experience and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), where she has helped foster inclusive workplace cultures.
South Asian Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the vibrant cultures, histories, and communities of South Asia. To kick off the celebrations, the team took a trip to The Oval to watch the England vs India Women T20 match. A great afternoon out with great company!
We were delighted to welcome James Wilson (The Sleep Geek) to The Berkeley Partnership for a fascinating session on the science of sleep. From busting myths and introducing the Kipometer, to his humorous “Taking the Stress out of sleep” framework, James helped us rethink how we rest. A group of 13 Berkeley consultants recently boarded 2 Tall Ships Challenger Yatchs for a spot of sailing around the Solent. A fantastic day of sun and wind led to some great sailing and competition between the boats. Crewed and fantastically looked after by the Tall Ships Youth Trust, a great day on the seas was had by all! The team also inaugurated ‘The Stafford Cup’ in recognition of the retirement of Mark Stafford who has been our sailing sponsor for the past 4 years.
