Company Updates

  • 2020 will be an exciting year at United! From our roll out of new uniforms and liveries to new leadership to hiring 38,000 people over the next 5 years, it’s the perfect time to join our #BeingUnited family.

  • December is one of our favorite months at United. Our coworkers come together across the system to transform airport gates into a winter wonderland so that some very special children have the chance to visit the North Pole. Thank you to the hard work and dedication from all our employees and volunteers to make this happen every year.

  • We may not be setting any racing records, but our aircraft are pretty quick. To celebrate the release of Star Wars, our employees got to have a little fun with our new safety video.

  • Today we announced that our CEO, Oscar Munoz, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of our Board of Directors in May 2020. Scott Kirby, our President, will succeed Oscar as CEO.

  • “Listen first, then learn and then lead.” - Kate Gebo, EVP Human Resources and Labor Relations

  • A big congrats to our board chair Jane Garvey for receiving the Lifetime Achievement award from Global Business Travel Association at their inaugural WINiT (Women in Travel) Gala. Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations Kate Gebo and Aileen Furlong Caffrey, Managing Director of Sales Global Accounts, were also recognized as two of the Top 40 Women in Travel. Thank you ladies for your hard work each and every day.

  • We're an airline in motion! Check out the debut of our beautiful new livery on a wide-body aircraft.

  • With today being Veterans Day, we’re excited to announce we’ve been listed as a top place to work for Veterans by Indeed!

  • Caring is at the core of who we are. It’s at the forefront of decisions made by our employees to create the best experience for our customers.

And now we’re taking it one step further.

We know hiring processes can be stressful and uncomfortable. We’ve been there! It’s time to make it more than a conversation but an experience. After all, we’re in the customer experience business and our customers include current and future employees like yourself!

With that, we’ve refreshed our flight attendant hiring strategy. We’re providing a new experience – what it’s actually like to be a flight attendant here. We’ve retrained our interviewers, redesigned the exercises and now give you the chance to touch and feel our products.

Our flight attendants aren’t just the face of our airline, they’re the heart and soul. Each day they help connect our customers to destinations around the world and to the people and moments that matter most.

Before your interview, we hope you’ll see that. After, we hope you’ll feel that.

We’re connecting people and uniting the world. And we want you to join us.

  • The first Her Art Here livery is live!

    Her Art Here

The first of our two women-designed airplanes from the Here Art Here contest is completed and has officially joined the fleet. This one-of-a kind aircraft was painted in Amarillo, Texas. It took 17 days, 10 colors, 250+ gallons of paint and approximately 4,100 hours to complete the job from start to finish.
