Introducing James Varlow, who joined us a few months ago as an insight manager. He’s previously worked for Future plc, delivering audience insight to help with magazine retention and acquisition strategies. Prior to that, he worked for Savanta, a market research agency, helping clients like Deliveroo and Sainsbury's across projects including brand tracking, campaign evaluations, audience segmentations and concept testing research. He was drawn to Which? by the opportunity to work for a company with a cause that he has a genuine interest in helping consumers make better decisions. He says: ‘My focus is on research and insight across digital and print channels, to ensure we adopt a holistic customer-centric approach to decision making. I'm currently leading a survey platform migration project. This will allow us to collect all audience feedback in one place and drive cost and process efficiencies.’ #JobsAtWhich
Over the weekend, Sam Richardson joined BBC Breakfast live from Lincoln, where he was interviewed by Radio 4's Felicity Hannah about the rate increases and price hikes consumers can expect from April 1. Say hi to Humera Ahmed, who’s joined Which? as resourcing specialist. Prior to Which?, she worked in recruitment on talent acquisition at Ranstand and as a resourcing adviser for Pertemps. She says: ‘Back in the day when it used to exist, the Which? University website helped me to determine which university to go to and which course I should study, while also providing student finance advice. This is what attracted me to apply for a job at Which?. I am currently working on bringing more diverse talent into Which? by working as the lead recruiter for the 10,000 Black Interns programme. With the current support I am receiving, I have a strong feeling I am on track to excellence here at Which?.’ #JobsAtWhich
'It’s unacceptable that the major broadband firms are hiking prices for their mediocre services by such huge sums during this unrelenting cost of living crisis. Which? is calling for all providers to allow customers to exit their contracts penalty-free if the price goes up and to cancel 2023 hikes outright for financially vulnerable consumers.' Rocio Concha Galguera, Which? director of Policy and Advocacy. Our annual broadband satisfaction survey reveals BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media are rated worse than smaller firms for speed, customer service and technical support.
Earlier this week, we hosted our latest Let’s Talk event at Which?. The session focused on some common misconceptions associated with invisible disabilities, the importance of language, equity and how we can all play our part to support colleagues, friends and family. Research tells us that globally one in seven of us live with a disability. An estimated 70-80% of those are invisible disabilities – that’s more than one billion people. Thank you to Angus Farquhar, our executive producer for video and audio, who hosted this session. And thank you to our panellists, Gareth S., co-chair of our Disability Network, Cressida Stephenson (she/her), DE&I Focused Tech Search Specialist, and Dr. Melanie Thorley, STAART Manager, who helped to answer our colleagues’ questions and provided some insightful and practical recommendations. #InclusiveWorkplace #DiversityAndInclusion #Inclusion #InclusionMatters #InvisibleDisabilities

Which? is calling on telecoms firms to urgently cancel imminent broadband price hikes for their most financially vulnerable customers and allow all customers to leave without penalty if they face mid-contract price rises. Rocio Concha Galguera, director of Policy and Advocacy, said: 'With less than two weeks to go until April price increases take effect, it’s hugely concerning that some providers have not taken action to protect financially vulnerable consumers from these hard to justify above-inflation price hikes. Telecoms providers must urgently cancel the 2023 price hikes for financially vulnerable customers. They should work to proactively identify these customers and ensure they're not financially penalised, even if they don't take up a social tariff.' #CostOfLivingCrisis #SocialTariff
