A big congratulations to Ant, our brilliant Head of Finance, who is celebrating 5 years with Zest! We asked him a few questions about his time at Zest, and how things have evolved over the past five years. Here are a couple of his answers: Q. What's your favourite part about working for Zest? A. I love the company culture and enjoy working as part of the senior leadership team. My role is varied, and I am given freedom to use my expertise and knowledge to complete tasks. Hybrid working has been a huge positive for me and has helped increase my productivity. Q. How do you feel the company has changed over the past 5 years you've worked here? A. Over the past 5 years there has been significant changes. A rebrand in 2018 to Zest, the creation of a new group company structure, and two sizable company acquisitions. More recently over the last 12 months a new Senior Leadership team has been formed and there has been significant investment into a new CRM and brand-new head office. Thank you for all your hard work over the past 5 years Ant, and congratulations!
Our team recently gathered for a summer fiesta, celebrating a brilliant year so far! We got all sectors of the business together to enjoy some fiery tacos, cocktails, and live entertainment. It goes without saying how key a good team is to the successful running of a business, which is why we’re immensely proud of each and every person at Zest! Today we celebrate a massive milestone with our fantastic Senior Sales and Retentions Manager, Jenny! Jenny has been with the company for an impressive 12 years today, and we couldn’t be more thankful for all the incredible hard work she has put in over that time. At Zest, we are constantly looking for ways to evolve and learn, we sat down with Jacob, one of our three apprentices’, who is coming to the end of his Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship in a matter of months. Q. Now that your apprenticeship is coming to an end, what are you most looking forward to as a full-time employee? J. “Of course, the pay rise, but also the feeling of finishing the course... I have tried this for so long and to finally be finishing it is amazing.” Q. If you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice at the beginning of your apprenticeship, what would that be? J. “Start your project work early as possible so you don't stress when it's crunch time.” Q. How did you find fitting into the Zest culture? J. “I'm passionate and a people person, so I think those two traits helped me settle in quickly, as people and passion are two key elements of our culture.” Q. What advancement opportunities are there as part of your apprenticeship? J. “There are often opportunities to apply for roles internally so I will focus on my future career at Zest.
Communication is key! Our quarterly "All hands" meeting with our People to update on our strategy going forward, and hold a Q & A session. And of course barbeque and drinks afterwards!
