LEGO® play takes kids to a creative world where no rules apply 🤩 A fire-fighting dragon, a car on a carousel, clothes on a cactus, giant bees chasing Star Wars™ Stormtroopers… Anything is possible in the vast and diverse LEGO universe. Creativity is not just great fun, it’s a skill that will support kids in everyday challenges throughout their lives. And, because kids can continuously build, rebuild, reconfigure and combine, the developmental play never stops! #RebuildTheWorld #LEGOPlay
Today we launched ten ‘Building Instructions for a Better World’. Wrapped in the playful style of a LEGO® building instruction booklet, we’re amplifying the voices of +6,000 young people across the globe and urging decision-makers at the COP26 - UN Climate Change Conference to take note of children's views on addressing climate change. The ten building instructions were developed through Build the Change, which is our flagship Learning through Play program for sustainability education. Check out the topics that matter most for the young generation and learn more about our COP26 activities to inspire world leaders with children’s ideas and visions for the future. #COP26 #ClimateAction #TogetherForOurPlanet #BuildtheChange #PlanetPromise
Despite being more than 6000 km apart Kirstin and Stacy got their heads together (virtually of course!) to champion innovative techniques to attract and source great talent to join the #LEGOTeam. Their goal? To energise everyone every day and build a strong workforce of tomorrow here at the LEGO Group! #LEGOCareers #BehindTheBricks
Together with Save the Children and The LEGO Foundation, we’ve helped bring more play to the kindergarten curriculum in Yunnan, China ❤️ The project is part of a three-year, US$ 2.3 million partnership with Save the Children in China. It aims to improve access to quality Learning through Play for children aged 3-6 in the predominantly rural Yunnan Province, where the quality of preschool education has been falling behind when compared with that of urban areas. This project is one of many contributions to the progress we have made on our sustainability journey in the first half-year of 2021.
We’re delighted to share that we’ve been included in Fortune’s 2021 Change the World list of companies that are doing well by doing good! Our #Engineers star in their own, new, global Twitter campaign. Kicking off with Senior Engineering Manager, Nicole 🌟 New Zealander Nicole, played with LEGO® bricks as a child and was drawn (across the planet) to fulfill her dream of experiencing a passion for #Engineering and playfulness in London. And now she is in front of the camera as part of our new campaign to encourage many more to join the conversation 💭 and get excited about engineering the future of play. #LEGOEngineering #DigitalTransformation #BehindTheBricks #LEGOteam

What does the next generation know about circular economy and how can we best empower them in this transition? These are some of the questions that Jennifer DuBuisson and some of our colleagues have investigated in our recent Circular Economy Youth Study with more than 6,000 youths across the world. Here are some insights: ♻️ Nearly 50% of children think about the environment at least once a week, with global warming as their predominant concern. ♻️ Only 12% of children know what a circular economy means. Recycling and reuse are more familiar concepts to 66% of children. ♻️ 90% of children reported parents as the main influencer on climate attitude. Yet children that had learned about sustainability concepts in school were more hopeful overall – and teachers are instrumental in this discussion.
