Did you know that April is Stress Awareness Month? Or have you been too frazzled to even realise that it’s April? While, ideally, our day-to-day work environment shouldn’t cause us any undue stress, the unfortunate reality is that it can often do so. So, it’s really great when you find a company that not only understands this, but also acknowledges that working life is not without its burdens.
Many companies now offer Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), which are intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health and well-being. Others try to get in front of stress by providing meditation and yoga classes to try and help their employees find a good balance during the working day. And some companies find that a discretionary work from home policy gives employees peace of mind when it comes to needing some flexibility to their normal routine. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of 7 companies who give their staff a helping hand when it comes to tackling stress.
