A sabbatical is a period of leave from work that extends beyond regular holiday and sick days. It is a perk that more and more companies are embracing—though research shows as of 2017, only 17 percent of companies offered sabbaticals as part of their benefits package. That said, research also shows there are many benefits to taking sabbaticals, including stress reduction and increases in productivity. So, if you’d like to take extended leave, here are five companies you might want to work for—and bonus, they’re all hiring! Get your CV ready and read up before you apply.

While on a three- to six-month sabbatical, professionals continue to receive 40 percent of their pre-sabbatical base salary.”
