4. All day on-site interview.
Fairly standard interview process. The all day on-site began with me giving a presentation on my background and expertise. This was followed by around 7 or 8 one-on-one interviews with people of varying seniority on the team. What really made an impression on me was that 3M flew me out to MN and went out of their way to demonstrate that I was their top choice for the position. This approach is unusual in the present market, and that made this treatment stand out even more. Pretty much every other company I interviewed with during this job search made me feel small and sad. 3M made me feel wanted.
