      U-Verse Premises Technician Interview

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Sacramento, CA)

      Interview

Had to apply online via their website. There were active openings for Premise Technicians at the time. It still took about 2 months before I heard from anyone. I hear it takes a very long time to get an interview. After the first call to say they were interested, they set up an interview. During the first call they tell you all about the job, its requirements, pay, etc. The first interview was in a building with about 20 other people all for the same position. You take a small test, was a few pages, about 20 minutes or so if I remember correctly. The test covers random things related to AT&T field work, brain exercises (how many squares in the box etc), math and a bit of everything else. After the test, they correct it and release those that didn't pass. The next step was a small interview with the individual that hosted the test. Then they called back for a second interview, which was super quick. I had to go to the AT&T Uverse yard to meet with a manager. The manager asked only 3 questions. The next step was drug testing and a physical. The test was a urine sample at a US Occupational lab. After the physical I had to lift 10lbs all the way to 80lbs.

      Question 1

Related to the job, what kind of problem have you had that prevented you from going forward, and how did you overcome it? (Something to that regard, it was a long time ago).
