It was a phone interview with the recruiter who ask questions about work history, when would I be able to start and requested a updated resume. The recruiter called and asked several questions, then sent a email requesting additional information and a updated resume. She wanted to know if a offer was made how soon I could begin work.

You have to be well prepare for a phone interview. It is a first gate that you have to answer clearly and specifically. When you have to interview with the manager you will be asked to demonstrate your ability to use excel.
