I applied through university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Indianapolis, IN) in Feb 2016
Interview
First stage involved recording answers to 5-6 questions on Audible.
For the next stage they flew me to Indianapolis and I had 2 45 minute interviews, all behavior based questions (STAR).
The job was for HR in a fulfillment center, however the interviews took place in a non-Amazon office building.
Prior to the interview they provided a document with a guide on how to answer in the star format, along with 22 of their core values. The interview questions came straight from the values.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to make a quick decision
Fairly simple. Two individual interviews with two people. They are a little misleading about shifts & schedules. Because the warehouses operate 24/7, the HR team is expected to also work 24/7. The shifts will be divided into days/hours so there is always someone able to help the associates.
I had three back to back interviews with three different interviewers a day and one interview took up to 30-40 minutes. It was a university hire process and I got heard back within 5 days.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Reached out by recruiter via linkedin and conducting a virtual 3 hour interview session with 3 different HR leaders. Standard and generic questions regarding previous experience and questions were asked utilizing the STAR method.
