I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Apr 2021
Interview
After the 2 hours online assessment it was scheduled a phone interview with a recruiter from UK AWS. The role was cloud architect. All the Q where related to the history of IT. Ex. When was TCP invented, what is SAN and many similar.
No Q related nowadays cloud technology such us what is Lambda, ELB, dynamodb , ECS etc.
If they want to hire someone that just graduated and remembers the history of IT its fine. But if they need a senior hands on guy, they should ask pragmatic questions...
At the end they came back after 1 month and they offered me half salary than the initial. The reason was that the guy from UK had decided that this is what i worth because i guess i didnt remember when was TCP invented..
I declined the offer and i realized its 1oo% cost oriented company. Not "human" oriented... I guess i was lucky. There are many opportunities out there. Think twice before you apply.. Company "Name" shouldnt be your only criteria..

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2026
Interview
You do 4 back to back interview in 1 day. It was exhausting. Besides that really appreciated the recruiter giving out interview prep before it takes place. The good thing is there is no coding round.
The interview process was very challenging and thorough. The questions required deep technical knowledge and problem-solving under pressure. While tough, it was fair and tested real-world skills, communication, and adaptability.
