5) phone interview with director
6) Skype interview with Senior director
7) onsite day long which included multiple interviews
8) offer over a beer
I've got to say... some unethical things took place here. First, after reading me my offer the hiring manager would not let me actually have a copy of the offer until I said yes. I paused because I thought he was joking, but then he let me jot some of the numbers down to review it with my spouse. It was a huge turnoff and quite tacky if you ask me (although I did enjoy the draft beer while we had the conversation).
After making a couple more calls with regards to medical coverage, I declined the offer. I later submitted all of my receipts for the expense report (as they said they would cover the onsite interview) and they completely shafted me of a couple hundred bucks. The hiring manager and HR both ignored my multiple attempts to resolve it. Ultimately it shows how shady the company is, and I'm thrilled with my decision to decline the job offer.
