I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AppDynamics (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2018
Interview
Standard Process. HR contacted me through LinkedIn and setup a Phone screen. After discussing about the work opportunities and requirements, I had a telephone screening round. After clearing the telephonic round, was invited for a full day onsite interviews. They had coding round, system design, object-oriented design, lunch with the director and multi threading with Java rounds. Everything went well except the last round. I was hoping I would clear it as I had learnt in my initial discussions that they are not very language specific and they were looking for someone who knows their stuff well. Was really disappointed after knowing that I didn't clear the interview and even in the feedback when recruiter mentioned that everything was positive except for the last round(concepts in Java).
The recruiter was nice and very responsive throughout the whole process.
I didn't like their office location and work spaces though. Most of them(like 60-70%) were sitting in some dark areas which didn't have light ventilation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Tries.
2. Graph problem, anagrams strings.

Multiple interview rounds. 2 technical then 1 manager and then the last round is hr round. Technical rounds are generally not very difficult. They will quiz on subjects like algorithms , dsa , operating system

Clear and cogent process, but it takes time.
Had a initial Hiring Manager round, then a standard coding round, then 4 onsite rounds.
Onsite round was a mix of problem solving, system design and API implementations.
Everyone was super friendly throughout and never made me nervous.
