      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at AppDynamics (London, England) in Feb 2022

      Interview

I had a very, very bad experience with this company! I applied for this position in December 2021, after hearing such good things over the years. I received the confirmation and an interview date request in mid-January 2022, which I immediately submitted. The hiring manager then requested a private interview outside of the interview process. However, he was on paternity leave, so I was required to wait until mid February 2022 to do so. Following a 30 minute interview in February 2022 with the hiring manager, I was then required to participate in a further FIVE interviews, two with a newly-appointed Team Leader, two with fellow analysts within the role across the organisation and AGAIN with the hiring manager. This interview process stretched from February 2022 to April 2022, with no guidance or information on the direction of the recruitment. After each interview, I allowed for at least a week before following up with the HR on the matter and was given very minimal guidance on the process. When conducting the interviews, all interviewers were incredibly out of the loop with the status of the onboarding and any other information related to the role. With a number of interviewers including the Team Lead, highlighting the fact that the hiring manager was making up all of the decisions as he goes along, with no plan or communication. Following the last communication received at the end of April 2022, I practically let go of the prospect. I then received a call at the end of May 2022 from the HR asking if I would consider the position as a contractor, which I agreed to. Since then in June 2022, I have received no communication from the HR or any other member of the Cisco/AppDynamics recruiting team or otherwise! Overall the process was VERY unorganised. I have successfully interviewed with other elite tech companies and have never seen such an unorganised company! It is VERY clear that the members of the team have ZERO confidence in the hiring manager's ability. It is quite unfortunate as Cisco AppDynamics has always been reported to have a great work culture. However it seems that the company is surviving based on the former glory established by employees who have jumped ship to competitors. Quite a sad experience.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AppDynamics (Dallas, TX) in May 2018

      Interview

I was in constant communication with the recruiter for AppDynamics. She did a tremendous job, making sure I was taken care of throughout the entire process. This is probably one of the best interview experiences ever. The first step was a phone screen interview with the recruiter, and then next step was a second phone interview with the hiring manager a couple days later. The following week was the third step, an in person interview, which took about 2-2.5hours. You meet with about 5 different people on the team, 2 other analysts, 2 managers, and 1 director. Each interview was with each individual for 30 minutes. Then, the a few days after, a final, fourth interview was conducted with a Director over the phone (as they were in the Bay Area). All interviews went very well, all questions asked are those of your typical interview questions. They'll want to know more about you with your background experiences but also you personally. You can tell the team was very passionate of their company and were happy to be working there. It seemed like the company culture was very important and they also want to make sure each employee is taken care of.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AppDynamics (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2018

      Interview

I initially applied for the position in January 2018 via LinkedIn. I spoke with a recruiter, ,and was then set up to speak with the hiring manager. I believe this phone interview went well, but I can't be sure now. About a week after I spoke with the manager, I received an offer from a different company. Since I was more interested in the Order Operations Analyst role with AppDynamics, I reached out to the recruiter first to gauge their interest and see where they were in the hiring process. She responded saying "you should probably take that other offer", so I did - informally. After a series of events and misrepresentations by the other company, I ended up not formally accepting the job offer. I reached out to the AppDynamics recruiter once more to let her know I was back on the job market and still interested in the position, since it was still open. As of now (2/17/18), that was three weeks ago, and I have not heard back from her. I also noticed that there was a second Order Operations Analyst role open, so I applied for that one on the company website, and I also reached out directly to the hiring manager. That was a week ago, and not a word from the company, the recruiter, or the hiring manager. I understand that some fault lies with me - I did informally accept a different offer (at the advice of the AppDynamics recruiter) and explored that opportunity for a week or so. But I do feel I did my due diligence in trying to re-open a line of communication with the company, but I haven't heard a single word back. Even a "no thank you" would have sufficed. It's the lack of communication that is absolutely unprofessional of any company, especially for someone actively searching for employment.
