I applied online. I interviewed at Baylor Scott & White Health (Temple, TX) in Dec 2012
Interview
12 candidates interviewed in single process
-- there were about 8-9 "observers" in the room watching the candidates performance.
- first hour was an exercise in classic Program Management. Given a project details and asked to select resources to staff project. Required to state why or why not resource selected.
- next hours were physical and logical "games".
--Throwing a ball in a specific order and then aske to improve the time.
-- Moving persons one at a time on colored blocks
-- Putting together paper puzzles in teams without talking
-- Touching numbered tiles in order in a team, attempting to improve time each time
Then a very skimpy lunch while the observers selected 2-3 of the candidates to move on with the process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The physical and logical games in a group is not a usual form of interviewing. While unusual, it gave the hiring manager an idea of which candidates showed leadership under unusual or stressful situations.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Baylor Scott & White Health in Mar 2024
Interview
I've never felt more disrespected by a work place than I have by BSW. My initial interview process was fine. I met with the hiring manager, then had a peer interview and ultimately told they went with a candidate with more experience. I got positive feedback along the way and it ended well. They said that another position of the same title would be opening up in a few months and they would offer internal feedback if I was still interested.
Until.
A week later, someone contacts me and asks if I'm still interested in the position. Someone else on the team had resigned and they needed to fill the position immediately. I expressed my interest and waiting for next steps.
After a week, nothing. A colleague, who referred me for the job and I had told about being reached out to, calls me and informs me that position had been filled internally. I conact the recruiter and they say yes, it's true butnot to worry as ANOTHER position will open soon.
I applied to that one a week later once it was posted and got the auto-rejection email FOUR MINUTES later. I contact the recruiter. Silence. I try again, she says she's on a different team now and can't help me. I ask for some redirection, help with getting that internal feedback from the hiring manager they had offered previously. Nothing. All empty promises. I will never apply here ever again.

The staff was nice. It was standard questions. During my second interview, they made it seem like I got the position, saying HR would call me to schedule the drug testing, but later said I didn't have it.
