I interviewed at Boots (Bromley, England) in February 2019.
Interview
There was 3 of us being interviewed at the same time but for different stores. The lady who interviewed us was lovely and kept things really simple and a chilled atmosphere. We were asked different questions then shown a mini makeover then had to practise on each other describing products as if we were customers. After about an hour we were taken to shop floor where we had to interact with staff and customers... after a short while we then had to find a customer to have a mini makeover, which will seem daughten at the time but was actually quite easy . After doing makeover we then had to look at no7 stands and find things that could be improved on !
After about 1 1/2 hours we were taken downstairs to room again and asked questions etc then were told that we had all passed with flying colours which obviously we were all very happy about!
One main thing is to know about the latest beauty tips... go onto you tube, Instagram and look at beauty magazines... you will be asked who do you follow and what beauty tips have you picked up on !
Interview was just over 3 hours long but because it's full on time goes very quickly !

Interview
Applied online via LinkedIn. Exhaustive, extremely lengthy process that went on for 8 months. Too much chaos and change that seems to be constant. I went into the NYC office 5 times over the course of nearly one year.

Interview
HOWEVER, the meeting with the hiring manager was horrible. As a hiring manager myself, I have interviewed many people and understand you can have an off day, be incredibly stressed, or not be interested in a candidate. Throughout the entire meeting she never smiled, not even when she greeted me. Her vibe conveyed the fact there are major internal issues, or she hates working there. Typically, an interview consists of questions and a back-and-forth conversation. She went on a :30 rant about how much she is doing, was slouched down in the chair and did not convey any excitement for the company. I thought is she going to stop talking and ask me anything? I still have respect for the company, but a weak link exists in leadership.

Interview
I arrived 10 minutes early and the assistant manager saw me right away (the manager was on holiday so couldn't conduct the interviews themselves), however she wasn't fully aware of when I had booked my interview slot..!
She firstly told me a bit about the position, asked me to tell her a bit about myself and what experience is previously had. This was the extent of the questions!
We then went on to the shop floor where she asked me to find the cheapest box of paracetamol there was, and to say what I would do to tidy up a shelf.
From there we then went over to the No7 counter where I had chosen the face wipes to talk about and sell to a customer.
We then went in to the back room and I explained that I would have to return to university in September which I knew would affect my chances, and she kindly told me that they were probably looking for someone who was going to be with them for a longer period of time, which was completely understandable, but she would see what she could do when deciding with the manager.

Interview
We met and sat down to discuss qualifications. Fair and legal questions were asked. The interviewer was friendly, professional during interview, and explained expectations and duties of the job very well. I was to come in dress code and we took a tour of the Target store I would be in, procedures daily that would be expected and become second nature, meeting different departments that were involved in the health and beauty isles, where Boots shelves were of product.
