I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at British Airways (Harmondsworth, England) in Mar 2013
Interview
The process consisted of the following steps:
- Application
- Paper sift
- Online follow-up questionnaire
- Invitation to 1st interview (group work and aptitude tests)
- Invitation to 2nd interview (panel, 1.5 hrs)
- Formal offer
1st process / group work was OK: it was important to be heard and seen, but show that you were able to listen to and work well with others.
2nd interview consisted of a presentation and a series of very average questions. I was applying to a technical role but the questions I was asked were not particularly technical (in comparison with other interviews I have undertaken for the same type of role).
The presentation was given to me the night beforehand. They sent me an email at the last minute: I still don't know to this day whether this was by accident, or deliberate (as it were, to see how you would cope under a bit of pressure).
