The interview process was lengthy and time-consuming, beginning with a one-hour online assessment. Only candidates who passed this assessment proceeded to a series of seven interviews: one with the recruiter, one with the Hiring Manager/VP, two with additional VPs focusing on general job fit, and three with Directors addressing behavioral questions. While the questions themselves were not particularly difficult, the number of interviews and the overall efficiency of the recruiting process raise concerns.
I ultimately did not receive an offer, with feedback stating that my expertise in one area was not deep enough. I find this feedback unjustified, as the Hiring Manager and recruiter were already aware of my professional background. If expertise in that specific area was a critical qualification, it seems unnecessary to have me undergo five additional interviews. The process required significant time and effort from candidates, and clearer communication about expectations upfront could have saved both parties valuable resources.
