Extremely unprofessional and disorganized. Worst interview I have ever had - in line with the other negative comments on here.
I applied online, a recruiter setup the very first call via email with a member of the Special Projects team. No initial call to set expectations, provide any structure or background whatsoever.
The recruiter did offer me via email: "Do you have a website or a blog that you maintain? If not, you might want to get a domain at GoDaddy, add some text and/or pictures (the content isn't important), connect it to our FREE product, then send me the link. Your interviewer might ask for your opinion about it."
So I spent a few hours creating a website and connected it to Cloudflare's free product, which unfortunately has still not connected to this date due to nameserver issues on Cloudflare’s end (it is supposed to only take 24 hours, not days) – a total waste of time, it didn’t connect before the interview so we couldn't discuss it.
During the call, the interviewer couldn't provide useful information about who the role reported to (I expected it was to the interviewer's boss), the team, or the work and instead randomly dove into a very poorly presented business case interview (his MBA alma mater would not be proud) - something normally done during final, not the very first, interviews. My time would have been better spent preparing for a case interview than messing around trying to get Cloudflare’s product to work. Regardless the interviewer didn't even know who my recruiter was so they obviously had not synced before my call anyway.
I am glad I lost early on this one! My experience 100% supports the negative company and interview reviews on Glassdoor.
