Interview
I had interviewed with the recruiter and he was pleasant. As a recruiter I understand the recruiter might not be the one making the decisions but the process is ridiculous.
I spoke with them in October and they said that they might need a month or so to get headcounts approved and that they are sort of building a pipeline to prep for this growth in Europe in the new year.
5 months go by and still no update.
Really positive, straightforward, transparent and fair. They are not trying to trip you up with trick questions and I was met with transparency and honesty every step of the way. The team really made me feel wanted and would constantly go above and beyond.

Interview
The process took about a month and I had five separate interviews scheduled for different days spanning one month. A few people I interviewed with were not engaged in the conversation at all and unprepared. Another showed up late, and I was only able to speak with him for ten minutes. I guess I was just another number to them since they are just bringing people in from their old teams at Uber. I believe DataBricks had someone else in mind through the whole process and went through the motions of interviewing other candidates just to hire people from their old team at Uber. 4/5 interviewers have been with the company for less than six months.
Extremely disappointing and a waste of my time. If you are applying for Recruiting positions here, keep in mind they are actively bringing people in from their old team at Uber.
