I submitted a cover letter and resume. Once I heard back I did a virtual interview with the hiring manger. We discussed how my past experince was relevent. We talked about the role I would have duing the internship and porblems I might face.

I was called about the internship opportunity after applying for the position online. I received a call about a week after applying. The recruiter was very nice and worked with me about scheduling an initial phone interview. We had the phone interview later that day. It was very quick and he was very friendly. He asked me basic questions about my educational background and work experience. The next day the recruiter called and told me he would like to schedule a second interview in person. This was held the following week and I met with 3 different members of the department. They were all very nice and made it as laid back as possible.
