I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FactSet (New York, NY) in May 2013
Interview
Hiring process consists of a standard phone technical screening interview (basic over-the-phone technical questions), with a full-day on-site interview day as the next stage. During the on-site interview day, a brief demo of FactSet's main product is given, and then the applicant proceeds to three different technical interviews, each one with a different Engineer or pair of Engineers, each with a slightly different focus (i.e, Code Review, Algorithm Design, Object-Oriented Principles and Design), with two other Engineers taking the candidate out to a local restaurant for an all-expenses paid meal/lunch interview, concluded by a final, wrap-up interviews with an Engineering Associate Director and an HR Recruiting Specialist. After this full-day interview, they will generally provide a decision by the very next day.
