I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fitch Ratings (London, England) in Feb 2015
Interview
Three interviews in total, first one with the future line manager and another senior member of the department. It was a get-to-know-each-other type with no difficult questions asked. The second one was with two members of the team you would be joining. Also, fairly standard if not a bit more technical and checking on how much I knew about the rating criteria. The final one was a case study that was emailed to me and had 3 days to send the presentation back to them. I had 20min to present the case study in the final round and was asked technical questions afterwards. The case study mimicked the actual rating process and basically involved applying the relevant criteria to come up with a rating recommendation. In the final round there was the department head, the future line manager and another senior person.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were mainly typical what you would expect in an interview. However, at the end of the final round interview, I was asked to express my view on the oil price (which was in the news back then). This question had nothing to do with the job. It was to test your general knowledge of what's going on in the market and how you articulate yourself in response to an unexpected question.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fitch Ratings (Riyadh) in Sept 2024
Interview
Pretty straight forward. Was interviewed by country manager and another senior representative. The interview was straight forward and I would rate as average. I was asked about my knowledge of the industry, company competitors, markers and country knowledge.
Pretty straightforward. Interviewed in NYC.
You have to be able to speak about the industry and what drives ratings. Some behavioral questions too.
Case study was also a breeze even though there was limited time
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fitch Ratings (Dubai) in Jan 2021
Interview
It was an easy process. The manager was good. No stress.
The interview process typically involves initial screening, technical or skills assessment, behavioral interviews, and final rounds with senior management, followed by background checks and offer negotiation if selected.
