    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Foster + Partners (New York, NY (US)) in January 2015.

    Interview

I got a call from the HR manager within a week after my online application. Had my interview and met with the lead design director in the NY office within 2 weeks. The director's been with Foster for many years and he's super nice. The office is quite open in the Hearst Building and it has a great view. We sat down in one of the meeting rooms and chatted for about 20 mins on my portfolio and experiences. He then showed me around the office and then walked me out. It was a pretty easy interview and I had a really good impression on the director.

Found out they were looking for someone to fill a person who's going on mat leave. They didn't really specify on what level they were looking for.

I followed up with an email the day after, didn't hear back for 2 weeks and I reached out again but he and the HR manager never bothered responding.

Submitted online. Was contacted 2 weeks later and asked to fly out to their California Office (short notice and out of pocket) to interview. Interviewed with one of the partners, pretty typical interview: some basic background and then going through portfolio of work. There was none. They offered and I accepted. There were so many people vying for the job that they would have said no if I asked.

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Foster + Partners (London, England) in March 2016.

    Interview

I was approached by an agency for the role, it sounded interesting so I gave them a call. This was followed by a telephone screening and face to face interview at Foster and Partner by another member of the agency. Interview went well, I was told there and then that i would have a second interview with the HR team at Foster and Partners the following week. This was then put on hold and after two weeks I was told they would not be continuing my application due to a very small but visible tattoo.
