      Auto Damage Adjuster Interview

      26 Apr 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Fremont, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Fremont, CA) in Apr 2016

      Interview

At first you go through online tests. Then you go on to phone interview where they lay out the description of the job and talk about salary expectations up front. Basic interview. Then you pretty much go on to the in-person interview. In the in-person interview I had someone reading basic star questions off of a labtop and typing your answers back in them. It wasn't professional as far as interviews go. Then, if you are selected to continue, you do the role-play interview and if you pass that you do the final interview with the hiring manager.

      Interview

1st phone interview with hiring manager, 2nd interview was with the area manager and included a Role Play. They don't expect you to know everything they just want to see how you handle yourself under pressure in my opinion.

      Auto Damage Adjuster Interview

      22 Feb 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I interviewed at GEICO

      Interview

An endless visual test with a timer attempting to judge your visual acuity, patience under pressure, etc. If you pass that you should get a call from an HR representative where you will speak on a high level about the job. Then you will have a series of questions where they want you to audio/visual record your answers. Then you will be placed in a live virtual scenario where you'll have mock customers and repair shops argue with you. Then you'll have an interview with a member of management in the area. If you pass all of that they'll typically offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The scenario is the most difficult, they're looking for people who can't handle the negative interaction, ie where the person freezes up, shows frustration/confusion, or outright gets upset.
