      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO

      Interview

Confusing interview process Because of the series of misunderstandings mails I had to lose an interview opportunity with GEICO, They want us to complete an assessment which is owned by a third party to proceed to the next level of interview, they had mentioned in their first mail that the link expires within 48 hours after I receive it. I was asked for a date of my availability to take my test “over the next week” on one Monday. I choose a date in the following week that suited me(I said any day after next Monday) as I had some other commitments.    The link was sent to me on the same day. Unfortunately, my email was misleading to them, following week in my mail meant for them the same week from the day I sent mail. Also, they sent instructions regarding assessment. It was said in the mail that I can take the test over the weekend.  I kind of relieved that though they haven’t considered my availability I have time to take a test, as I can take it over the weekend (as per their second mail), but the test link got expired.  After talking to a recruiter I came to know: the link expires within 48 hours after I start the test ( I have not really started the test, I created the profile) not from the day I receive the link.  Though I can delay taking the test(it was not clear in their previous mail). Now they can’t reconsider my application.  I can’t apply for that position/ take test for next 6 months as well. I failed the assessment and interview process before taking it !! The testing website gives you a session ID to access it at any time.  I think it should be a good idea to let the tester know ID expires within a certain time period to avoid possible confusions.

      Interview

I took the online survey assessment from GEICO. I thought I did Fair, but I just recieved a deny email after I finish it. The human resources officer was very helpful, they will email you the tips about preparing the assessment. However, it is very easy to ignore the preparation of this online assessment, for the estiamtion of the survey assessment if 20 minutes, but they will not tell you each question have limited time in advance.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO in May 2018

      Interview

Applied online and recruiter e-mailed me back to fill out a questionnaire. It was very basic. A week later, I was given a time to take a 'skills assessment' but it was more like an IQ test. You have only 3 minutes per each question, some were quite long. However, it was not very difficult. After I completed the assessment, I got a rejection e-mail the next business day. Not sure why as I know I aced the assessment or very close. They must have a very large pool to choose from.

      Interview

There are quite a few of preliminary hoops to jump through. They send a form asking various questions about why you want to work for them and how your experience makes you qualified for the job. Then in the next phase, they send you a link to an online test. It's not coding. I disagree with the other descriptions that its like the quantitive reasoning section of the SAT/GRE, but I see what they were going for. Each question is timed, multiple choice, and asks questions that mostly revolve around quickly parsing a paragraph of information to include or exclude the answers given to choose from. It's not super difficult but some questions have a lot of info to process.
