I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GEICO in Mar 2009
Interview
I interviewed for Geico when they visited the Penn State University campus. I was able to get the interview by talking to one of the recruiters at the Geico booth at the Spring 2009 Career fair. The recruiter I first talked to seemed very interested in my skills listed on my resume, and immediately gave me an interview for the following day.
The next day I was interviewed by two other recruiters, neither of whom seemed very interested in any of my skills or work experience as a computer lab supervisor at Penn State. At the end of the interview I was fairly sure I wouldn't hear from them, and I didn't.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO
Interview
I participated in a series of conversations, starting with a few calls with the recruiter to discuss my qualifications and the role. This was followed by two in-depth interviews with the hiring team, where we explored my experience and potential fit for the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic SQL question. A few window functions questions, and a few group by questions.
Multi-round with several members ranging from Tech Leads to Directors. Very curious on transferrable skills especially as they gauge candidates who would be able to handle change management and crucial benchmarks (depending on department).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Behavioral questions in the first interview, more technical in the second interviews.
It depends on who you interview with. Some interviewers are more laid back but the types of questions tend to be the same and are mainly behavioral questions and technical knowledge questions.
