I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Buffalo, NY) in Dec 2012
Interview
Overall process took about a month. First fill out the online portion, do the test over the internet. After that, you will be called to come in for a screening. Computer skills are required (they test WPM, ability to multitask, etc.) and if you pass that, you will do a interview with an HR recruiter which may involve a role-playing scenario.
It was pretty easy. They just asked me a bunch of questions about my past experience that jobs with customer service. I thought I would get the job but never ended up getting the job. I used to be a hairstylist and was hoping to get a career change into insurance but was told I wasn't a fit.

Fairly easy, was offered the position on the spot and really enjoyed the interview process with my recruiter, they involve role playing questions as well as your standard behavioral questions

Interview
There was a typing test to determine wpm, then I had a sales roll play call, and finally an interview with a hiring manager. Once I finished with the hiring manger, they took me to the sales floor to talk to a supervisor.
