I applied online. I interviewed at Guidewire (San Mateo, CA) in May 2017
Interview
Applied via website, contacted by recruiter and had phone screen. I was invited onsite for interviews. Came back for second interviews and the process moved fairly quick. Everything seem to go well on my end but I didn't get the job, the recruiter sent an email saying that they could not move forward at this time and no other explanation.
There was an initial phone interview, then I did not hear back from them. The interviewer was nice and asked several typical interview questions. They won't make you feel uncomfortable.
Applied online, initial screening on Aug 2024
After an extensive month-long interview process with Guidewire, during which I dedicated significant time and effort, I was ultimately informed of their decision through a generic email template. I participated in five rounds of interviews, progressing to the Hiring Manager stage. Despite what appeared to be a smooth process, I was met with silence following this round. After a week of follow-up communications, I received a standard response from the hiring team indicating they had selected another candidate whose qualifications aligned more closely with their current requirements. The absence of constructive feedback, consolidated performance metrics throughout the interview stages, and a clear rationale for the decision-making process rendered the outcome both unprofessional and disappointing.
