I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Oak Brook, IL) in Aug 2011
Interview
I was asked if I wanted to work at Hollister at a Starbucks at the mall. The manager gave me a card with a website, where I would fill out my application. The application was easy, no previous experience, no cover letter, no resume, and no real references were required from whatI remember (that was almost 2 years ago however). I After filing out the app, I chose a date of my interview. I dressed casually in Hollister clothes. It's best to look your part, if you're applying to be a model - look like the models who work there. The look policy can be found online. Do not overdress for this interview! the interviews are group interviews. There was about 5 people when I had mine. The manager took us outside the store because it was warm out. We sat on mall benches and she causally asked us all some questions. After it was over, we all went home. A week later I got a call that I got the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions similar to: "Describe a time when you had to work in a team to solve a problem... or when you had to overcome a difficulty" You have to have a few good stories that demonstrate what great person you are. Also, they ask about your definition of diversity and what you like about Hollister.
They will ask “what does diversity mean to you?” And it was a group interview at the time, taking turns asking each person and having them answer in front of the other.
Super easy and laid back with an emphasis on diversity. Be yourself and don’t over dress. Keep smiling and don’t forget to bring real world examples. It is a group interview
