I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hotels.com (London, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
I met a HR representative with whom a generically discussed the position and my background.
I then met the hiring manager who asked some generic questions and tested me asking what I would have done in a given scenario.
All in all it wasn't a negative experience but I feel like the questions asked were too high-level to get a sense of the applicant skills.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hotels.com (London, England) in Mar 2019
Interview
One in person interview with hiring manager (1hr) followed by four back-to-back in person interviews (4hrs). Overall it took 2 months from first contact to finally receiving the final decision that I was unsuccessful. The interview was very long, but questions were as expected. Interviewers varied in their approach and questions asked.
After the second interview I asked when I could expect to hear back; I was told they weren't sure when they would know. After chasing two weeks later I was informed to please continue to wait for the decision as they still had not made their minds up. Finally a month later, and only after chase up emails, I was contacted via phone and told feedback was positive and asked how I thought the interview went.......... and only then they told me I was unsuccessful. Very unprofessional recruitment process and I was made to wait an unnecessary amount of time between interview and final decision.

Interview
Within an hour after applying online I was contacted via email to schedule a phone interview with the Talent Advisor. He passed my given options and set a date I had already said I wasn't available. We rescheduled to a date that was suitable for us both. This first communication felt a bit sloppy.
On the phone, a week later, he immediately started babbling about the position and the company, going into details I found more appropriate to give me the chance to ask about. He let me ask a couple of questions, but was constantly pushing on asking me some. He was drilling through a list of questions, not really paying attention to my answers and just skipping to next one.
We agreed upon keeping in touch to set a phone interview with the Hiring Manager. Got back to him but haven't heard from him since.
