I have been reached by their internal recruiter. After talk with recruiter over the phone I got a technical task to complete. Nevertheless the technical test was very enjoyable for me because of it was a some real case apart of other technical tasks which I did for other companies and it was related with that what HubSpot does, not mainly of course. Even though I tried very much to complete it, but I failed at the end, but I have been asked to send a source code. They saw it and they decided to invite me for face to face meeting. When I arrived, I was guided through the office just to show what they have and how they work. After it I have been interviewed by two guys from engineering side, then another two guys interviewed me from database perspective using white board as well. Later I had a talk with guy from their devops team located in Boston. Unfortunately next day I got a feedback that they will not proceed further with my application. Anyway a lot of companies do a white boarding and I perform very badly during those, because of I think that good solution which needs to be crafted it needs more time and focus. Additionally stress introduces some confusion as well. I would rather to prepare some application which basically works and does something, instead of talking about it. It's very hard to me to focus when I do not see my favorite IDE. Anyway, maybe next time.
