Interview
When I saw the job description and read about the company, I was so excited to apply! I was contacted within a few days of my application by email from a corporate recruiter with Insperity. The email said she would like to schedule a phone interview and to let me know when is best for her to call me. I immediately wrote back and set a time for her to call. The day and time passed with no call or email from the recruiter. I emailed her again and she set up a NEW time/day. This time she called and the phone interview went great. She was very nice and pleasant on the phone. I described my current position and she kept making comments that they were looking for someone with that exact experience. The call was about 20 min and she advised that she was going to contact the hiring manager right away and he was going to want to start interviews immediately. She asked my schedule for the next week and she would give me a call Monday morning to set up the interview. She also advised she was sending over info for a background check and and assessment. She also sent over benefits info for me to look at “to get a head start on knowing more about being an employee here”. I completed all required documents and sent a thank you email to her. Monday came and went with no call or email AGAIN. I was trying not to rush her but I did not want to miss this opportunity with Insperity. Nothing Tuesday so on Wednesday, after still no call/email. I sent an email just to follow up on when the interview would be scheduled since she said she it would be asap. Within a few minutes, I received an email with one sentence saying they went with another candidate. I was pretty surprised since the position was still posted online and the phone interview went so well. Insperity seems like such an amazing company and this does not deter me from applying again but the recruiter came off lazy, unprofessional and I kept having to chase her down. After reading other reviews, it sounds like this has happened a lot. I have been in HR for 12 years and as a recruiter for much of that time and her behavior is pretty strange and does not represent the company very well.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. We’re disappointed to hear that your experience with Insperity wasn’t the very best. Please reach out to us at corporaterecruiting@insperity.com to discuss your experience so we can continue to improve.
Interview
It is very formulaic. Not very conversational. Managers pretty much have a good idea of who they want to hire so interviewing can be seen as a waste of time. Lots of situational questions are asked. Be sure to have extensive employee relations experience or they will just go through the motions with you and won't consider you at all.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to influence a client who was unhappy?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Insperity (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2023
Interview
Very impersonal and corporate - interviewers were chatting about a mutual colleague for several minutes before the interview got started and they finally introduced themselves. Went through two full interviews and didn't get anything back - had to follow up about status of position after several weeks.

Question 1
Describe your experience handling an employee relations issue.
I applied online. I interviewed at Insperity (Houston, TX) in Jun 2022
Interview
The recruiter called and asked me two very basic questions relevant to the role. I was told I would hear back regarding next steps but never heard back from anyone.
