First I had to fill in an online application and complete some tests online. After a few days, I was then invited for an interview. The interview was a group one rather than a 1:1 interview, overall the experience took about an hour.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was a group interview rather than a 1:1, so they gave us some tasks to complete as a group. They were mainly looking for a candidate who would take on a leadership role and be an outgoing and talkative person.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (High Wycombe, England) in Sept 2018
Interview
The interview was generalised, rather than role specific.
It started with a 20 minute group activity where we had to read through a customer service scenario and discuss in a group how we would handle it and write down what we would do and the order we would do it in.
Then we had a 20 minute individual activity where we were given a sheet with three questions, including a question along the lines of 'You are working at the click and collect desk. A customer says they received an email saying their delivery is ready for collection. When you go to look for the parcel it is not there yet. How would you handle this situation?'
There were 5 rotas on the wall and we were asked to look through them and indicate which ones we would be available to do.
It ended with filling out a form asking for general details, sizes for uniform and role preference (catering partner, replenishment partner, sales partner).
