I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kinective in Feb 2026
Interview
Only went through the first round, which was a ~20 minute virtual interview, which the recruiter was late for. Interviewer was friendly, but transcript was recorded and fed to an AI to give a profile based on what I said. Interviewer appeared to want candidates that knew their entire tech stack (Selenium, Kubernetes, etc), which I found unrealistic for an intern position.

Interview
I rarely leave interview reviews, but given the significant amount of time required throughout this process, I believe it’s important to share my experience for future candidates.
The interview process consisted of multiple stages, including a skills assessment, several virtual interviews, a presentation assignment, and an in-person office meeting. As part of the process, I was asked to develop a detailed presentation outlining a customer success process and deliver it to members of senior leadership. While I understand evaluating candidates thoroughly, the overall process felt lengthy and required a substantial investment of preparation time and effort.
During the onsite portion of the interview, several employees openly shared frustrations regarding leadership structure and company direction. Hearing consistent concerns expressed during the interview process itself raised questions about internal alignment and overall team morale.
It also appeared that certain leadership responsibilities were being carried out without clear authority or defined structure, which created confusion around decision-making and accountability.
After completing every stage, including preparation for a formal presentation and attending an in-person interview, the process concluded with a generic template rejection email stating another candidate’s experience more closely aligned with the role. There was no direct outreach, personalized feedback, or acknowledgment of the significant time investment required from candidates.
An interview process often reflects an organization’s culture and communication style. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency, inconsistent messaging encountered throughout the process, and impersonal conclusion left a disappointing overall impression.
Based on this experience, I would encourage prospective candidates to fully understand expectations around time commitment and communication throughout the hiring process.

Question 1
They asked me to create and present a customer success process presentation to team members and leadership.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kinective in Oct 2025
Interview
Really poor interview experience. During the 1st interview, the recruiter expressed that they were trying to hire quickly for the role. Then after my technical interview (which was a fiasco, btw), the recruiter told me that the team won’t have a decision for the next few weeks to maybe a month?? I then saw the job re-posted again on LinkedIn with over 100 applicants. Guessing this was a performative job posting just to show that they were trying to hire for the role. The company seems toxic. Also, the technical interview was a mess. The questions created by the team had errors in them. I mentioned this politely, and they kindly apologized and thanked me for catching the mistakes. Be careful with this company. If they reach out for an interview, ask very clear timeline and hiring goal questions during the first interview, just so you can decide whether to invest time into the technical portion.

Question 1
1st interview is more of a relaxed getting to know you and an explanation of the job and process. Technical interview is a SQL prompt.
