I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at L'Oréal (New York, NY) in Jan 2010
Interview
I interviewed first with HR and then with the Hiring Manager, which is pretty standard. I wasn't asked any really difficult questions, the HR Manager stressed the importance of really knowing and understanding the L'Oreal brand. I found her nice but a bit exaggerated. The Hiring Manager was very nice, the interview felt more like a conversation. Although I wasn't made an offer, I did realize the position wasn't right for me as it involved temporary relocation and excessive work hours. For anyone interviewing with L'Oreal, I would say have a good knowledge of the various L'Oreal brands and any L'Oreal related news.
3 rounds with IT team and 1 with HR. Technical questions only in first 2 rounds. Strategic questions mostly. They will ask why you want to join them - demonstrate how you will fit in the company
