I applied through university. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance
Interview
30 minutes interview with a typical format. The interviewer asked questions fast without any smile, which made a little bit nervous. She did not look at me often but took records when I spoke. Kind of too professional...

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance (Boston, MA) in Feb 2011
Interview
After a vetting, 1/2-hour phone interview, I went to Liberty Mutual's offices for an "all-day" interview that consisted of an hour-long 1:1 interview and an hour-long case-based interview. The 1:1 interview was casual, included a description of my resume and an explanation of my plans/aspirations. The interviewer was casual and engaging, and the behavioral interview questions did not seem like formal questions at all. The case-based interview consisted of a 25-minute sit down session where I was handed a case packet, calculator, and pencil, and was told to analyze the material and come up with an answer (i.e. a recommendation) to be given during the half hour debrief session. The debrief was done with a current CDP full-time employee, where I spent the time describing my recommendation and explaining my thought process/observations. While this was more structured than the 1:1 interview, I would also characterize it as casual. The case had to do with the insurance field, but it was not necessary to have detailed, industry-specific knowledge.
