Applied online and received a notification to book a telephone interview. I had this within the week where i was told not to worry about filling any silences and say too much as there would be pauses as she took notes. Questions were fairly straight forward such as what do you expect to be doing in this role and how will you ensure you perform well in this role. Came off the phone to receive an email inviting me to a selection event that i attended today. Amanada the HR lady of Leeds Lovell Park branch was really prompt collecting me and 2 others from reception at 11.30 as arranged. She was just generally really kind and relaxing. Took us to a room where she spoke to us for half an hour about the role and company and what to expect if we was successful. An interview by an assessor followed this, carried individually in separate rooms. This was quite an intense hour long however again the person was really lovely, really normal and encouraging. Luckily I had prepped and researched most of the questions that were asked however did struggle with finding specific examples for some. When he noticed he said not to sweat the small stuff and that we could just come back to it later. Then had a role play with another person. Given a scenario to look over for 10 minutes before doing the role play on the phone. This followed with a feedback form to fill out on what I think I did and did not do well on . The lady also filled one on myself too but was alot more positive than I had typical-interview-styley thought was the case. Finished by giving some tips on how to improve before leaving me with another scenario for another ten minutes. Did a second role play where I was thanked for my time and escorted down. Haven't found out yet but overall a really positive experience. Had a lot of interviews recently and by far the most professional, reinforcing the fact that they need people as much as people need a job.
Hopeful I get the job however would not regret today if I don't. Fingers crossed for Monday!
