I got to Macy's about 30 minutes early. I had a seat and waited about 15 minutes. I was greeted by a woman who was going to interview me and I followed her back to an open area and began the interview. I was asked about 10 questions or so. I thought the interview went really well, the only problem was that I had already had a commitment out of town for over a week. It was just bad timing as far as getting this interview in between going out of town. She said she could "bench" my resume and put it to the side, and resume when I come back.
The funny thing was that the fulfillment clerk position was already filled. There were some sales associate positions available, but it just didn't make any sense if I was interviewing for a position that was already filled. They didn't even let me know that before I interviewed. She just told me that any hiring manager can hire on the spot.
Anyways I had my resume "benched", which was nice of her. I just called the HR department again and I have to re-interview. For what position I don't even know now. I guess if I do well I'll be offered whatever that's available.
