I did a skills assessment first- typing test and then a Microsoft 365 test (that wasn't HARD but it was unforgiving, you could only make one mistake per question and some things I honestly know how to do but I click around the ribbon to find them so it was tricky). About a week or 1.5 weeks later I had a phone screen with the Talent Acquisition person. About 1.5 weeks after that I was sent to the Team Support person in the department where the vacancy was for an in-person panel interview. They were all very nice, I liked them all right away. They introduced themselves, the job was described, I introduced myself and then the questions began. I was hoping for a job to use to pivot into higher tiers on the soon-ish side but obviously they have a need in the role they are trying to fill and while they were supportive of growth later they do need someone now. This job has a 90 day probation period, 10 vacation days for the first 3 years plus holidays and the winter shut down from Christmas to NYE, they can be flexible where you can work earlier/leave late (to accommodate business needs if coordinating with offshore) or take a shorter lunch to leave early but it doesn't sound like the level of flexibility I'm looking for. Add it all together and I withdrew myself from further consideration in my "thank you" email. I think this would be a great job for someone starting their career out, the team sounds like they support one another and enjoy their jobs and are helpful and understanding. I truly believe they are a great team and someone will be lucky to have this job!
