The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Apr 2011
Interview
I submitted my resume in a campus career fair and got a on-campus interview. After two weeks, I got a notification from HR saying that there would be a on-site interview in Redmond, WA. So, I flied to Seattle in the end of that month.
I got only 3 interviews over that time, so I knew that I would not have a chance to be selected. The first one was good I think. We talked about some of my experience and why I would like to choose to be a SDET. The question was how to find a difference in two arrays of integers. The second interview was the start of my screw up. I was asked to design a pig bank for coins and write the functions for a queue, like enqueue and dequeue. I didn't feel that well over this time because I thought my interviewer was always staring at me with his poke face, which made me very nervous. I also failed to find out one bug in my function in this time of interview. In my last interview, I spent my time with a very senior USB test software engineer. We talked about the Microsoft history and some of my project experience. I thought I was found that I was not that interested in testing at this moment. Then, we came back to his office and asked me a coding question.
