I applied via LinkedIn, and a few weeks later I was reached out to by Maggie to set up a phone screen, She was really welcoming and made the conversation engaging. She was very personable and made me even more excited about the role. My experience seemed like the perfect fit, and I was excited about moving forward. Once I met with the hiring manager, that enthusiasm went out the window. I was well prepared for my interview, and have specific and relevant answers prepped for all potential questions. The hiring manager seemed distracted in the interview, and often asked follow up questions that I already answered in my original reply to the question. They showed 0 personality or interest in speaking with me, which was pretty disheartening since I was really excited about our conversation. Yes, I am upset about not moving forward, but I am not writing this review out of bitterness. My background and experience perfectly aligned with the role, and I felt that if the hiring manager listened to me and was more engaging in my interview, I would have moved forward to the next round. Maybe I wouldn't have received a job offer, and that is ok, but the general lack of interest in the conversation was pretty insulting. Everyone else I spoke to at Muck Rack was super friendly and emotionally intelligent. It seems like a great place to work, and I hope no other candidates for future roles feel the same way,

Mostly behavior based questions "tell me about a time when..." and wanted details on my background, including why I transitioned from each role.
